How to Renew a DMV Traffic Violator School (TVS) Operator License

Either the owner or an employee who is designated by the owner to direct and manage the school. A TVS operator may perform operator services for more than one school under the following conditions:

The licensed TVSs share a common owner.

The licensed TVSs share an established business address. Show Citation 11

The operator possesses a valid license for each school.

1. Preparation

Ensure you’re familiar with the renewal process and requirements.

Have your login details for your OL account on the DMV website ready.

2. Gather Necessary Documents & Forms

Required Documents:

a. Application Form:

Application for Renewal of Traffic Violator School (TVS) Operator License (OL 756)

b. Educational Training:

Evidence of completion of an approved 4-hour operator educational program.

3. Submit Application and Documents Online

  • Log in to the DMV website using your OL account.
  • Navigate to the TVS Operator License renewal section.
  • Upload the completed OL 756 form.
  • Upload the certificate of completion from the 4-hour operator educational program.
  • Pay the associated fees online.

4. Fees

  • $75 renewal application fee.
  • $1 family support program fee.

5. Post-Submission Process

Once you’ve submitted the form and certificate, the DMV will manually review your documents.

Upon approval, you’ll receive an electronic copy of the temporary license via email or the DMV portal.

The actual renewed TVS Operator License will be mailed to your registered address.
